Raw Nerve Books is a small press with limited resources and a strong commitment to publishing innovative new writing. We publish fiction and academic work, as well as work that challenges both these terms and we encourage, in particular, projects that make links between print and web media. We work to short runs and frequent reprints for print-based work and this enables us to publish high quality and provocative writing that might not otherwise be made available. To this end we welcome proposals that are imaginative, controversial, or underrepresented in form and/or content, and consider all submissions on their merit and their suitability for Raw Nerve. We will consider work that could be published in either medium - for instance, long essays - as well as work that is cognisant of, and responsive to the potential of electronic textuality. In this latter category we welcome both fiction and non-fiction that uses hypertext, images, and other web-media forms in ways relevant to, and productive for feminist thought. We publish work by established writers as well as by those newly in the field. Please read our submission guidelines carefully before sending in a proposal. |
